Pet FAQ
Who should complete this?
All applicants are required to complete a profile, even if no animals will be residing in the unit.
What qualifies as documentation for an Assistance Animal?
PURE Property Management of Oregon and our third party screening company (PetScreening.com) follow the Fair Housing Act (FHAct) guidelines on reasonable housing accommodation requests for assistance animals. A letter dated within the year you’re applying for and drafted by any of your medical health care provider(s) / professional(s) may be uploaded for PetScreening.com to verify.
Pet Rent
Pet rent varies based on the FIDO Score from Pet Screening. The FIDO Score ranges between 5-paw down (lowest risk) to 0-paw (highest risk) and is included with each Household Pet Profile
A Paw Rating of 3 or higher = $50 per month, per pet
A Paw Rating of 2 = $70 per month, per pet
A Paw Rating of 1 = $100 per month, per pet
Tanked animals (fish, birds in cages, lizards) are considered a 3 Paw Rating.
* Approved Assistance Animals will not be charged a pet rent
Pet Insurance
This is not required, but it is a considered factor through PetScreening.com
How do I increase my pets FIDO Score?
Great question! PURE Property Management of Oregon recommends annual visits with your local veterinarian to ensure your pet(s) are up to date on all vaccines and flea/tick/heartworm medications - you can update pet profile(s) as needed with updated information. If your pet is younger than 1 year, this could lower their score automatically, please refer to PetScreening.com with more information. Always review your pet profile for missing information.
